Thanks so much for chatting with me about our perfect experience with our residential air conditioning installation this week.
Our delight began when Dominic came to do the estimate; we never regretted waiting until you returned from vacation to do the estimate. He was informative and very professional but didn’t talk down to us like so many other people have.
Mohan and Benji arrived exactly when we were told they would; they were so polite, professional and actually happy and laughing while they worked.
I didn’t meet the refrigeration fellow myself, but Harry told me he was just as nice as all the rest of your staff.
Being somewhat electronically challenged, I could not figure out how to leave a testimonial on your website, but please feel free to give our contact info to anyone who may ask for references so we can get you more very satisfied customers.
I don’t remember if we saw your ad in a flyer or where Harry got your name, but we are so glad we found you.
Thank you again for the incredible service, and if we can send something to Carrier on your behalf, just let me know how to do that.
Heather and Harry
Got my hot water tank installed today . . . quick fast and very efficient . . .thanks guys!
We just had AC fitted and we couldn’t be happier. Prompt service by friendly staff and great pricing. Very neat and tidy. I would highly recommend using this company. .
Dear Divina and Dominic,
You both have a special place in my heart. I don’t feel worthy of such generosity but I am so grateful to my core. The two of you are a model of what it is to “walk the talk.” You gave my family a greater gift than monetary means—you helped my children start to believe again. This has been a painful journey for them that I wish I could lift from them. You both in your empathy and kindness have lifted our crosses and made them lighter. So many have abandoned us in our time of need—and you both choose to do differently.
You are in my prayers and heart forever!
Kate M., on behalf of the entire family
I write this as a testimonial to the ethical and caring service of Spring's Servicing and Heating. My wife is disabled and, having recently been ill with breathing and heart issues, needs to try to keep her stress levels down. We also had a boarder with a disability and an adult son living at home. Coming up to Christmas 2012, our son was having trouble keeping a job and this, among other things, was creating a financial and emotional burden.
Then the furnace quits. The furnace is a 6-year-old high efficiency Carrier furnace, and it quits. After trying to get it to restart with no success, I ended up talking with someone at a Carrier parts supplier. (The company that originally installed it was no longer in business.) This young lady gave me the phone numbers of three contractors of Carrier furnaces. This is how I came to contact Dom at Spring's Servicing & Heating.
Dom came out with one of his technicians and looked at the furnace. It had been incorrectly installed. The vent and exhaust piping were too large and the inductor motor had to run as fast as possible to create the needed pressures inside the manifold. (This explained the jet engine sound we would have when the furnace ran; we never could get the previous company to fix it). The inductor motor was already nearing the end of its useful life. But this wasn't the main problem.
The main problem was a faulty relay on the motherboard. This meant the motherboard had to be replaced. Dom didn't have another one and had to pick one up. He came back the next day (Saturday) and changed the boards out. Fixed and did not charge overtime rates for coming on a Saturday. He did tell us that when the inductor motor went, it would cost at least $1200 to replace and correct the venting.
Three weeks later, a fuse pops on the motherboard. I replace the fuse; all's well (we thought). The fuse blows a day later and another 12 hours after that, we call Dom.
He comes to look at it and thinks a short to the thermostat may be the problem. He tells me the wiring to the thermostat should be a four wire not two (as it was) and that if I fish it through myself, he would treat this as a warranty call. He also shows me how to by-pass the thermostat to get heat while doing this. Until I can do this, it will keep blowing fuses after a heat cycle.
The next morning I have bypassed the thermostat and started fishing the wire when the fuse goes again. I call Dom, and he's here in 20 minutes.
It's possible that the new motherboard is bad. It's also possible that there is something else going on that’s causing the motherboard to go bad. The problem is that there is no way to be sure. If the former, okay; but if the latter, it means another $700 and still no solution with the inductor motor still to come.
We need to replace the furnace. The problem is that in the meantime, our boarder ends up in hospital and will no longer be able to live with us. Our son is still having his issues, so money is tight.
Dom agrees to replace the furnace, fix the venting issues, credit us for the motherboard he charged us for earlier, and to carry us until we can pay.
Dom has been a blessing to us, and we thank God for his help during this time.
You can count on Dom and his people to do things right the first time, and if it doesn't work the first time, they will do whatever it takes to make it right.
